Acre Baja Wedding – Little Oasis in Mexico

Facebook

With a name like Dulce it’s no wonder this wedding was sweet!! Dulce and husband Cesar are head over heels in love, with each other AND with their cute Corgie Migo. They couldn’t wait to make their family of 3 official, and although it has taken us a while to post these beautiful images, we felt they just had to be shared. The Los Angeles locals tied the knot last August, in a celebration that screamed perfection from beginning to end. Here’s how it all went down.

The couple chose the luxury Solaz resort as home base throughout their wedding weekend. Solaz is renowned for it’s beautiful interiors and first class service, and guests arrived to enjoy the properties premium amenities before kicking off the weekend’s celebrations with a casual welcome gathering at Cabo San Lucas’ Los Tres Gallos restaurant. Guests wined, dined and mingled over tasty Mexican food and local cocktails to jump start a weekend of celebration.

The big day had finally arrived. Dulce began preparations early and this is one bridal look we simply adore. Her stunning curls went au-natural, with a little help from Rizos Curls, that made all the difference! She also rocked natural makeup and a dramatic eye completing the look. And that dress! With a billowing, princess cut skirt and a sparkling, strapless bodice it wowed from every angle, and her delicate full veil was the icing on the cake. Over on the other side of paradise, Cesar donned a fashion forward rose pink jacket and dress pants, his mauve tie and trimmed kicks the perfect accessories. A modern groom ready and waiting for his bride.

Dulce and Cesar are HUGE foodies, so their wedding location had to offer gorgeous grounds AND mouthwatering munchies. Enter Acre Baja, nestled on Cabo’s East Cape and a favorite of local foodies, international eaters, and the odd visiting celebrity alike. Our ceremony took place on the property’s grass terrace, where these two declared their love beneath one of my favorite arches to date. Giant pampas fronds provided the abundance, while strings of romantic white roses were weaved throughout. The groom’s brother delivered a sweet and simple ceremony dotted with personal anecdotes about the couple’s journey to love and more traditional, Catholic elements too.

Our couple’s “go for it” attitudes were showcased as we invited guests to our poolside cocktail hour, all to the tunes of one of Cabo’s talented mariachi bands. Acre’s resident peacocks dropped by to check out the action as guests munched on scrumptious appetizers and cooled down with the properties signature mixology.

When it comes to reception terraces, there really is nothing like the Mango Orchard. We celebrated beneath the branches at wooden imperial tables scattered with dried palm fronds, tapered candles and dainty florals in neutral shades of white and pale pink, brought to us by Let it Be Events, with Gold and copper accents, as well as sparkling market lighting brought the bling. We reutilized our over the top ceremony arch at the sweetheart table, where Dulce and Cesar enjoyed a scrumptious meal prepared by Acre’s award winning banquet staff, a huge neon sign announcing the newlyweds “Los Vasquez” lighting up the evening sky behind them.

Who captured the fun? Mexico City based photographer extraordinairre Xico Gutierrez flew in to provide the album, and local videographer Bea Hernandez kept the cameras rolling. We love you both! To Dulce and Cesar, we will treasure your wedding album along with you and wish you an amazing life as huband and wife. Congrats!
